Giclee (jee-clay) n.-
1. a selected
piece of art transformed into a nearly indiscernible, high quality
reproduction
2. an avenue by
which art lovers can build private, decorative collections
When purchasing a reproduction for collectable purposes,
it is important to know that the reproduction accurately represents the
original creation. Additionally, the added confidence in the
quality and availability of the piece adds value to the purchaser.
Using advanced digital technology, we are able to create
beautiful limited editions. Our staff utilizes a wide variety of
expertise, including talents in color design, mathematics and art.
We consider it an honor to be working toward the benefit of artist and
collector alike in producing fine art reproductions.
The process of printing fine art prints extends well beyond the function
of the printer itself. Creating the edition requires the utmost
care and attention to detail.
CRAIG BEMAN ARTWORK
customizes the color settings for each image so that the print is truly
what the artist has in mind. The French term “Giclée,” means
spraying of ink, is often used to describe these prints. Precision
nozzles spray up to a million microscopic droplets of ink per second on
the fine art archival paper or canvas. Each piece of paper or canvas is
individually hand-mounted. Displaying a full-color spectrum the
prints are lush and velvet like, capturing the subtle nuances of the
artwork.
Large format printing is available using state-of-the-art
Epson technology. This eight-color variable droplet process
provides a large print capacity with exceptional print detail.
UV stable pigmented or dye-based inks with fine art paper or Instant Dry
Satin canvas are used.
Multi-density pigment and dye based inks are used to
achieve extraordinary print quality. This is an exciting era for
this technology, which exemplifies a blending of science and the arts. |
